Are your best friends on Twitter, a spammer or spamy according to Twitblock.
I was doing my normal skim and digest thru my Google Reader, Yahoo Pipes feed, and Lazyfeed and enjoying the info of the day and the collective intelligence of my network and then hit this one http://mashable.com/2009/08/19/twitter-spammer-avatars/ and stopped.
Recently I had been visited by those "beautiful ladies" with the one tweet issue and I was wondering- If my Picture was getting better looking or what? So I read the post and hit the link to Twitblock and put in my twitter handle and out came the following.....
Yes, a few of the Ladies were in my list and no problem gone...Dumped them on the curb.
But then the list got very interesting very quickly when my #smallbiz folks started showing up like:
@smallbiztrends @smallbizbee @marketinghuddle @daytonaBchSBDC Slow down these are the good folks of Twitter and they show up with this crowd. Anita Campbell is a pillar in the Smallbiz world with a world class blog at SmallbizTrends and is one of my 1st stops in the Smallbiz world. Matthew Ringer writes a great blog at SmallBizBee and offers great smallbiz advice and tools. So the lesson in the story goes check on the number of blocks you have on your account and I am still working on trying to find an answer to protect your brand with Twitblock.
Some others that showed up were also good folks like @silkcharm Laurel is the Aussie World of Warcraft, 2nd Life charmer and Social Media queen- one of the finest on Twitter. @tedmurphy the founder and CEO of IZEA and no way a spammer. @danschawbel the Gen Y personal branding author - maybe his book having come out forced him to tweet the heck out it ??? @jason_pollock maybe his tweet a minute volume got him listed but normally he is doing good stuff with his stream. @zaibatsu or the Tweet a second king, who amazes me with his volume and conversations that he pulls off with hundreds of folks. The last 2 maybe understandable for those folks that are not using tools and have a few folks that they are following....
So in conclusion, I will montior myself and ask you to help me if my volume gets too high or my material quality falls let me know. I am a Twitter junkie I will admit it here, and I do not want to lose my network now or in the future.
Oh by the way I did get a haircut under my Georgia hat, may the ladies noticed that....
